production overload!

Well, the reason I've not been posting on my blog for the past few days is that I've been caught under some major projects lately! I just finished the biggest commission on my list yesterday! whoo hoo! I made 250 tiles which were used as coasters! And let me tell you, 250 is a big number!!! This commission took me over 175 lbs of clay! I don't mind doing commissions as long as they're spread out, but this one was different in the fact I only had 2 1/2 weeks to complete it and in between those two weeks I've had a grand opening, First Fridays show, workshops at the museum...yikes! life has been a bit crazy for me!

There is something about producing a large quantity of items in a short amount of time. You get this sort of overwhelming relief at the finish, just like finishing a long race or marathon, you're so tired, and so ready to be done, but completely satisfied that you've accomplished your mission! I accomplished my mission, and now I'm on to the next project!

I found your site via Polka Dot Mom. I love your jewelry. It's just gorgeous. Plus, this is the first time I am seeing your hairclips. I will try to blog about them soon. Beautiful stuff.
