I was a queen for halloween when I was in first grade. For some reason, I didn't want to be a princess! pamelambailey at yahoo dot com

My favorite halloween costume was strawberry shortcake. Oh, the plastic mask was horrible and I couldn't breath well out of the little hole, but I still just thought that was the best costume ever!

wow! that has been so long ago for me that i can barely remember any costumes! we always got the pre-made costumes with the plastic masks with the little holes that i could barely see through! that tells you how old i am! oh, for k-mart costumes! i also remember using a pillowcase for our trick or treat candy! funny days.

I usually wore some kind of costume I had previously worn for a school program. My favorite was probably a Mother Goose costume. mrshawkins@wowway.com

Every year I dressed as a charactor I called Bertha Butt and I padded my tummy and butt and wore big black glasses and my grandfathers golf outfit.I also wore curlers.

We could never afford any elaborate costumes.. so I think every year I was a "farm" girl. I wore overalls, my mom put my hair in braids and freckles on my face (w/ eye liner... I always thought that was cool), and chewed on straw. Love the jewlery - this is the first time I've seen it...

My mother enjoyed this costume more than I did and in fact, she dressed my sister up as this too when she was growing up. A gypsy.
Guess it was one of those easy costumes to throw together from her own wardrobe. Not that she's a gypsy, but she was a hippie and that works too. lol

i made my own costume one year. i was the tooth fairy - with a bright red skirt & my cherry boots & the outline of a tooth taped on my shirt. no one knew what i was, but i loved it anyway. :)

since i'm the oldest w/ 3 younger brothers my parents would shove me out the door (i was super shy & didn't like going to people's doors). When I'd say 'I don't have a costume' they'd say "you do now... you're the babysitter & you have 3 little kids to look after. now go!" nice little trick to keep in mind for when I'm a parent. ;-)

My favorite costume growing up was a geisha. I remember wearing an authentic asian dress and my Mum did my makeup. We went to a local family restaurant for their party and I ate donuts from a string.

Wow hadn't thought of that in a long time.

Happy halloween.
