I just ordered 3 of the round based long neck glass vases for the mantle in my bedroom. They're on sale right now at CB2.com for only $3.95 ea!!!! The "room pictures" online have them set up amazing with long stemmed flowers in them and another picture has them with layers of earth tone colored sand scattered across a long table. I can't wait to get mine!

mission accomplished

My husband and I started training for a half marathon about 3 months ago. neither of us have ever attempted to run an official half marathon. This past Saturday was the race! I really enjoyed it. we had fun running together, and believe it or not, I kept up with him and is long-legged marine stride until the 11th mile! He finished about 3 minutes ahead of me. I am so glad we did this together. It was something new for me and I'm hooked! I can't wait to run my next one! hope you all had a good weekend!

As many of you know, I don't always have rings, but they are in high demand. I get more requests for rings than anything else I make. I make them in a batch and they fly out the door so fast. I can't keep making rings like necklaces because it is so hard to find a quality ring base. I don't want to make my rings with adjustable bands, I want the band to be solid all the way around and good and sturdy, so I have a whole new batch that i just finished yesterday...who knows how long they'll last, so if you see one you like, you better snatch it, cause you probably won't see it again...

With the holidays coming up soon, I've been working on some small "gifty" things lately. I've never made wine stoppers before, but thought I'd give it a try! I am happy with how they turned out! I think these make the perfect host/hostess gift or stocking stuffer! You can purchase them at my etsy shop and by the end of the day they'll be available to purchase on my website lilypottery as well.

Circa Ceramics!!! these guys have been one of my favorites for awhile. I really enjoy when a ceramic artist does image transferring onto clay well. on a fiber kick again...

Yesterday I got together with one of my favorite people and good friend April. We are working towards a joint show in December. We are using historical references and forms in nature as our inspiration. We have decided to combine felt and ceramics for this show. We've been brainstorming and preparing for quite a few weeks now and yesterday we put it all into action! I am so excited about our show...I'll be documenting the our progress and share it with you as we go along. We'll meet every wednesday so look for the progress posts on Thursdays.

it's finally here!

I am so very excited yesterday I picked up 400 copies of my new 2009 lily pottery product catalog! This is the first catalog I've ever done, and I am so happy with the completed product! This catalog is going out to independent boutiques, and wholesalers, I'm trying to expand my clientele a bit and spread the "lily pottery jewelry love" outside of Greenville!
I'm excited about this new adventure I'm about to embark on! cross your fingers for me!!

This weekend I got up and away to the mountains with my sweetie! And oh what delightful time we had! We went apple picking! The weather could not have been more beautiful and the smell of autumn was definitely in the air! We sauntered through the rows of trees bowing to offer us their delectable, juicy fruits! The Fuji apples are one of my favorites, and I ate enough for you and me this past weekend! They are SO sweet this year! Once we'd filled our bushel basket, we browsed the pumpkin patches, tasted the fresh-pressed cider slushies, and watched the children excitedly board the hay wagon rides.
